Pokhara, A Paradise City:

Pokhara is a metropolitan city in Kaski district Nepal, around 200 kilometres west of Kathmandu. The altitude of Pokhara ranges from 827 meters in the south to 1,740 meters in the north. The Annapurna Range which consists of three of the highest mountains in the world; Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna -I and Mt Dhaulagiri, lies in the Pokhara Valley and thus is a base for the Annapurna Circuit.

Pokhara is the second-largest city also known as paradise city of Nepal. A natural valley of lakes also called the “city of seven lakes” has astonishing features that provide you with pleasure. Pokhara is heaven for peoples. Pokhara is a beautiful place blessed with varied topography, magnificent mountains, lakes, green forests green hills, rivers, waterfalls, terraced fields and as well as with different culture and traditions.  Many adventurous activities can be found here.

One of the most tourist visiting destinations is Pokhara. Pokhara valley has seven popular lakes named as Dipang Lake, Begnas Lake, Rupa Lake, Maidi Lake, Khaste Lake, Gunde Lake and the most popular is Phewa Lake. Views of spectacular mountains like Mt. Machapuchare, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna can be seen in Pokhara.

Many tourists visit Pokhara to see the Mountain ranges and lakes. Pokhara is famous for boating, trekking, rafting and adventurous sports like rafting, canyoning and bungee jumping. Activities such as canyoning, rafting, paragliding can be organized in this valley.  It is listed as “must visit” place in the world. It is commonly a starting or ending site for trekkers while trekking in Nepal.
